Dublin, Ohio hosts the Memorial Golf Tournament this week – our city’s largest and most recognizable annual event. Most golf fans will start following this year’s tournament, which will have the top 10 money winners on the PGA tour participating, on Thursday morning when the first round begins.

Having three young children, our fun starts on Monday with the first of three days of practice rounds. Watching practice rounds is great way to get up close to these great players in a very relaxed atmosphere. I don’t even mind bringing my 5-year-old daughter – who has the tendency to be a little loud at times. The players are great, they will sign autographs during their practice round, giveaway golf balls, gloves and even stop and talk to the kids.

If you are looking for some other things to do with the kids prior to the start of the Tournament, make sure you also visit Safari Golf Club on Wednesday, June 2 at 5:30 p.m. for the junior clinic.  And, one last tip – remember that kids under the age 12 with an accompanying adult can attend the Tournament all week long for free.
