Hands down, Halloween is my favorite time of year. I love watching scary movies, facing my fears at haunted houses, and seeing people’s costume choices. And with Halloween less than two weeks away, I thought it was only fitting to share some activities that will get you and your family into the “spirit” as well!

Olde Town Ghost Tour’s Guide – Becky Schisler!

With over 15 acres of pumpkins to pick, Jacquemin Farm in Plain City, Ohio is a favorite fall destination! On the weekends, families can also take a hayride to and from the pumpkin patch. During the month of October, there is a Kiddie Playland (for kids 10 and under) complete with a straw maze, grain box, and inflatables set up. Jacquemin Farms is open Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. during the month of October. For more information, visit their website.

The Mall at Tuttle Crossing will hold Kidgit’s Mall-o-Ween Celebration on Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A costume contest, entertainment and other activities are in the works.

Hear some history and haunting tales when you embark on an Olde Town Ghost Tour through Historic Dublin. Becky Schisler, owner of Blankets and Booties, leads the 90-minute walking tours. Several shops and restaurants in Historic Dublin are featured throughout the evening. Tours are scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday-Sunday. There is also a special daylight tour on Sunday at 2 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. For reservations, visit Olde Town Ghost Tour’s website.

For those looking for a more frightening experience, visit the Scare-a-Torium, now located in the Dublin Village Center. The 31,000 square foot venue features 53 scary scenes and is one of Ohio’s top haunted attractions! The Scare-a-torium is open Thursday – Sunday from 7:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. Learn more here!
