Office girls lunch at the new Matt the Miller’s Tavern last Wednesday. (It’s been open only about two weeks.) This is another of Craig Barnum’s restaurants (The Brazenhead) … this one’s his very own baby. It’s also the first with a kids’ menu.

The setting is modern; the menu varied. Among our group, we tried the Squash Soup (wonderful!), the Mini (Turkey) Reuben’s, the Turkey & Avocado Club Sandwich and the Smoked Chicken Sandwich. We were too full for dessert–but after seeing offerings like Belgian Dark Chocolate Mousse and Raspberry Cheesecake Brulee, we’re thinking next time we’ll go for salads and dessert.

Of note: The restaurant serves Sunday brunch from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. (with goodies like Challah Bread French Toast and Eggs San Fransisco) and also offers Happy Hour food and drink specials from 4-7 p.m. weekdays.  Worth the trip!
